San Joaquin County Historical Society
The San Joaquin County Historical Museum reveals the rich heritage of the region, from the Miwok and Yokuts Indians through Charles Weber (founder of Stockton and first farmer in the area) and the development of modern agriculture. The Museum has eight exhibit buildings and four historic buildings, including the 1848 Weber house and the 1866 Calaveras School. Exhibits include room dioramas of Weber family furnishings, a children’s activity area, and large displays of hand tools and historic agricultural equipment. The 18-acre grounds include the Sunshine Trail living exhibition of native habitats and the Delta Water Path. A Critter Corral of farm animals can be enjoyed weekends from May through August.

Cpl Charles O Palmer II Memorial Troop Support Program
The Cpl. Charles O. Palmer II Memorial Troop Support Program is a volunteer effort designed to give your “everyday” citizen an opportunity to reach out to active duty Military personnel serving on the front lines defending our Country.
This support program was born from the ashes of personal tragedy. After the death of Cpl. Charles O. Palmer (KIA Iraq May, 5th 2007), the Palmer family sought opportunity to minister to other troops standing in the gap offering the same sacrificial service to our great nation that their son Cpl. Palmer gave his life for.
The support program is simple. Personal Care Packages sent to individual troops on the front lines. Anyone can do it, anyone can help. We welcome you to join our efforts!
The Palmer family warmly offers our gratitude for the support we have received in the wake of Charles’ death. The support of churches, organizations, individuals and the community have been monumental and instrumental in our ongoing healing process.

We will have a 25,714 square foot, climate controlled, indoor sports facility with 21,000 square feet of hardwood playing surface. It will encompass 3 High School size Basketball Courts, easily convertible to 5 NCAA regulation sized Volleyball Courts with 2 Pickleball/Badminton Courts. Other sports such as Indoor Soccer/Futsal, Wrestling, or Cheer can utilize the different court configurations to utilize the space accordingly. Additionally, there will be an event room to accommodate parties, meetings or just a blank space to envision a workout or yoga routine. We are excited to bring this to Manteca and the surrounding communities and look forward to being the premier location for year-round sports training and tournaments in our San Joaquin Valley.
