The Manteca Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Give Every Child A Chance, is pleased to announce that we are accepting applications for our Vocational Scholarship Program.
These scholarships are designed to provide financial assistance to students who reside within the Manteca Unified School District and are pursuing career-focused education. Eligible applicants must be enrolled in, or accepted into:
- An accredited career or vocational program at a community college in San Joaquin or Stanislaus Counties
- A licensed and accredited vocational training program
- An internship or apprenticeship program with a business located in either county
Who Should Apply
Students must be working toward a certificate or degree that leads directly to employment in their chosen field, or they may be graduates of a vocational program seeking additional training to improve employment opportunities. Scholarship funds may also support the purchase of required tools, equipment, or safety gear needed to enter the workforce.
Examples of qualifying programs include (but are not limited to):
- Automotive Technology
- Plumbing
- HVAC Maintenance
- Electrician Training
- Accounting
- Child Development
- Dental Hygiene
- Fashion Design
- Graphic Design
- Medical Assisting
- And many more career-focused fields
Please note: These scholarships are primarily need-based. They are not intended for general academic studies, students planning to transfer to four-year universities, or graduate-level education.
Scholarship Awards
- Up to 10 scholarships will be awarded.
- Awards typically range from $250 to $2,000 for full-time students, with smaller amounts for part-time students.
- Funds will be paid directly to the school upon confirmation of enrollment.
- Scholarships may be used for tuition, registration fees, and other educational expenses.
- Awards will not exceed 75% of total educational costs, though applicants may request a waiver of matching funds.
