Manteca has two acute care hospitals, Doctors Hospital and Kaiser Hospital, with a total bed capacity of 139. Kaiser Permanente Clinic opened in 1998.

Recreation
Manteca has 50 parks, 1 library, 1 movie theater with 10 screens, a 48 lane bowling alley, an 18 hole golf course, 8 tennis court, 3 swimming pools, Caswell State Park only 4 miles away, plus a number of river resorts with boating and fishing. There are 5 inns presently totaling 309 rooms in the community area.
